I've been married for 15 years to my husband who is 19 years older than me. My stepchildren are only slightly younger than me. I am from Asia and my husband is a Western guy. We have yearly vacation with my husband's ex-wife's family. From different ages, to different culture backgrounds, to different languages, to different food preferences, to different characters, to different parenting, to different occupations, to different mindsets... We've been through ups and downs.
I believe there are bigger challenges in intercultural or interracial marriages, marriages with big age gaps, marriages with stepchildren, marriages with the exes in close contact. But I could be wrong, please share your thoughts.
