AREOPAGUS on Clubhouse
Description
The Areopagus of classical Greece was once the great hill and rock of Athens for free thought and free expression, whereupon matters of import to the ancient cradle of democracy would be decided. In this Club, we will facilitate small stage, semi-formal debates and conversations on controversial topics with subject-matter experts.
Keep it classy 😎: Personal insults, vulgarity, consistent interruption, and intentional derailment of conversation will not be tolerated, and a 3 strike rule will apply to each category.
The stage shall be kept small. : This stage will not become a free-for-all shouting match. Guests on the stage come by invitation only, and there shall be a maximum of 8 participants.
All for one, and one for all.: There will be only one moderator, and this person shall take a neutral stance on the subject under discussion, though they may ask pointed questions of each side, so long as they do so equitably.
