NBC Universal says, “JD Lawrence is one of the most respected writers, directors, actors and producers in urban theater.” To date, Lawrence has launched several national productions that have sold out theaters across the country. Lawrence in 2019 surpassed the Guinness World Records playing over 72 characters in a one man show entitled Skitzophrenia. JD Lawrence has also written, produced, directed and or starred in shows on Amazon, Bravo, BET, tvOne, UpTV, Aspire, Urban Movie Channel, Vh1, GMC, Up Family & Faith, Momentum Films, Who’s Laughing Now Entertainment, Sony Home Entertainment and Lions Gate Films. Lawrence is currently furthering his study in the performing arts, film and the television Industry at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
