⚢ L’Ilu Birin Village ⚢ on Clubhouse

A platform that centres the voices and experiences of African/black WLW ⚢ women-loving-women (LBQ/Zami/Amazons/Da-icks) here on CH. We know there are many rainbow groups already and none yet that bring the women together. So L’Ilu Birin is a platform to do just that. We meet as community together to share our stories, hang out, network and share wellness resources. If you are a woman/womxn, and you love women/womxn, this is home.

We are particularly concerned with stories of survival and thriving as alphabet mafia🏳️‍🌈 women on the African continent and in the African diaspora. Consider this a space for the seasoned sapphics to respectfully and consentingly mingle with the youngins and vice versa.

Once a week we shall host a discussion group for parents and caregivers of African LGBTQ+ youth who want to figure out how to support and love their children and siblings unconditionally.

Given this club centres the voices & experiences of African & Black women-loving-women, we privilege LBQ women speakers on the stage. Welcome!
Consent, Privacy & Respect: RESPECT. Respect privacy only share stories u have permission to. NB bcz some speakers participate from countries where LBQ women are unsafe. No phobias. Don’t project your values, etc on others.
Disagree no Debate | 1 Mic/1 Diva | I-Statements: Challenge the idea, not the person. Attentive listening. 1 speaker @ a time, no interruptions. Every1 speaks once before any1 speaks 2ce. Speak for urself only/those you have permission 2 rep.
Practice Forgiveness & Admit when you are wrong : Respect people’s pronouns. An "Oops, Ouch." Or “My bad.” Remember we are all learning & growing. Assume good intent from everyone. Accept when a discussion point is beyond your range & step back.
